New PS Stars Rewards Celebrate God of War, Ratchet & Clank, PS3

This actually has good potential, but is really being dialled in. Playing any game for the ratchet model? What’s that about? Why not have it given to anyone with a ratchet and clank platinum trophy for example? Well, because it would be slightly more difficult to check that than the log in data I guess.

Pretty simple task, wonder if they're going do more difficult one, so the awards will be more rare

So you won't get the Ragnarok collectable if you pre ordered it physically elsewhere?. So far I'm not a fan of PS Stars. Willing to wait for it to improve but as of right now I don't care for it much. Meh

I can't see any of these on the app. Anyone else have the same issue? I seem to have a new Eye Toy one though

It let me sign up, and then I realized Sony is still using my old email address, like 3 email addresses ago. Anybody know what bad stuff will happen to me when I change my "Sony" email address? I think it will change for Sony, Sony Rewards, and PSN, but who knows what else?

I was under the impression the “play any PS4 or PS5 game” was just a trigger to give you a reward.

For example, the “You Did It! You Defeated Phrike” campaign appears that you need to have beaten Phrike previously and then playing any PS4 or PS5 game triggers the reward.

Same with the PS3, PSVR and PlayStation Eye rewards. They appear to be for people that used them previously. Then got the reward the moment they played a game.

So the Ratchet one could be for those that have the platinum for Rift Apart or something like that, then playing any game triggers it. (Although the wording on this particular one seems to be as straight forward as play and game).

Might be wrong, but from reading about people that can’t trigger certain rewards. That’s what it looks like.

Finally a cool looking one with the Ratchet and Clank collectible. Knowing my luck I'll never get the campaign like some of the others.

When PS Stars finally goes on a PS5 console in our profiles or wherever they decide to put it on PS5 is when I'll most likely take it a bit more seriously. PS app ain't crap just annoying having Stars on something else other than a PS console

I won't be adding them on purpose, I genuinely don't understand what they're for. Is it just to look at in a sub menu of an app?

@SoulChimera you're right, and it turns out this info is on the PS Blog, so not sure why Push Square isn't reporting it. Ratchet and Clank will be for everyone to celebrate the 20th anniversary. The PS3 one is only for people who have specific PS3 models.

I love the ps stars program I’ve done almost every challenge and I’m now just shy of level 4 and a little over a thousand coins or whatever from a free 20 dollar psn.

When i pre-ordered GoW and Sonic last week as well renewing Plus i got enough points for a £5 gift card what was pretty cool, i can easily see myself getting the odd £5 every month or two with this.

Seeing that white PS3, makes me think the console aged better than i gave it credit for. When i got my PS3 i thought it to be kinda big and ugly and didn’t like the Spider-Man fonts. But it aged a lot better. But if i am being honest, i am not sure the PS5 will ever win me over design wise. The fact it needs a stand is hard to overlook for me. But it’s all about the games, and God of War tonight at midnight is all that matters.

@thetraditional i sold all my PS3 to get the slim and sold the slim for a good return and used it to get a PS4. But kinda wish i had a white original PS3 laying around. It looks better than i remember. The minute the PS5 slim or Pro is announced, i will be listing my PS5 for sale. Really hope the design is less bulky and non centered, meaning not needing a stand or it wobbles.

Not rewarding fans who pre-order physically sucks. Just add a pre-order code in the box. Simple as that.

@WizzNL I use remote play almost every day for a lot longer than 5 minutes, but it never registers. I use an iPad or iPhone.

@WizzNL That did it! Since the PS5 was already on so I could change the privacy settings, I tried remote play with it still on, and nothing happened. But waking it up from rest caused it to register.

@Beerheadgamer82 I think this setup really lets the physical collectors down. But i dont care even more and i just dont do anything with it anymore.

@CWill97 The Namco Bandai way I totally agree with you how cheap can you be for not including a little piece of paper. Sometimes Sony really rubs the wrong way and i have been there since the PS1.
